    The aim of the module is to demonstrate how to start lighting and start working with the human figure.
    The module is aimed at base level photographers who will be introduced to posing and lighting the human figure in an aesthetic way.
    The module will also demonstrate the correct protocol in working in this genre and will instil confidence in participants who wish to persue this type of photography.

  • Schedule

    The module will run over a period of one day, from 10am to 1pm and from 2.30pm until 5.00pm.

  • The module will cover:

     

    1) How to properly address your model, the correct protocol.
    2) Explaining the pre concepts for the creation of images
    3) How to direct your model verbally and through gesture
    4) Posing and posture, the aesthetics
    5) Lighting for the full figure by way of a single light
    6) Lighting for the full figure by way of more than one light.
    7) Dramatic lighting
    8) Soft lighting for full lengths with a reposing figure
    9) Effects and separation lighting, graze lighting
    10) Lighting against white backgrounds
    11) Lighting against black backgrounds
    12) Lighting to lift the model off a black background
    13) The use of props
    14) Minor cosmetic retouching of a capture in Photoshop
    15) Finishing and presenting of a selected image
    16) Showing the model all captures at the end of a session.
